Liedduo
Jasperina Verheij, mezzo soprano, and Willem van den Dool, pianist, form a young and promising liedduo from the Netherlands. They met each other during their studies at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague in 2021 and have been regularly performing songs ranging from known to unkown and from serieus to humoristic for international audiences. They enjoy taking their audiences with them in the world of songs, in which music and text are always in dialogue. In May 2023 they were one of the selected liedduo’s for the International Liedfestival Zeist, where they received masterclasses from, among others, Elly Ameling, Robert Holl, Malcolm Martineau and Wolfram Rieger. In 2023 they received an honourable mention at the Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Concours, praised for their exceptional duo-qualities and poetic dedication. In 2023-2024 they were young artists at the Udo Reinemann International Masterclasses in Brussels, receiving regular coachings from, Hartmut Höll, Joseph Middleton, Sir Thomas Allen and Jard van Nes, among others.

De bubbels van Babel
A performance by Jasperina Verheij that combines song, dance, and theater. A performance full of Babylonian confusions of tongues, bursting soap bubbles, and bubbling misunderstandings. "...and let us confuse their speech so that they can no longer understand each other." This is how the myth about the Tower of Babel spoke. And so, in 2024, we still frequently speak past each other, misunderstandings prevail, and you increasingly read about the "bubbling" of our society. "The Bubbles of Babylon" is a performance full of Babylonian confusions of tongues, bursting soap bubbles, and bubbling misunderstandings. What happens when you dive underwater and only see your own bubble? And what happens when an evaporated bubble evaporates or bursts? Mezzo-soprano Jasperina Verheij explores the absurdity and loneliness of our social bubbles with an innovative theatrical language, in which song and dance converge in a single person. Here, movement and music enrich each other equally, enhancing expression. In the creative process of this performance, the music and choreography are created simultaneously, with each continually influencing the other. The music is written by two young composers: Robin Fiedler and Anat Spiegel. The performance premiered in May 2025 at the Delft Fringe Festival and won the Delft Chamber Music Festival Award.

Ensemble Miscelánea
The Miscelanea Ensemble is an adventurous ensemble with a unique identity, somewhere between a folk band and an early music ensemble. The ensemble focuses primarily on Latin American folk music and early music, and the connection between these styles. With intimate yet captivating allure, they present a repertoire ranging from intimate two-part pieces to lively cumbias, where vocalists and instrumentalists alternate, and the entire ensemble suddenly joins in. A Miscelanea Ensemble concert promises a mix of intimate emotions and catchy, danceable tunes that will be stuck in your head all week!
